Bio
Homayoun Hayati (1985) has a BA and MA in painting. His experience as a surveyor in the southern villages of Iran not only heavily affected his work as a painter but also affected his attempts at writing poems. In the artist’s latest series, the relationship between nature and humans has led to the creation of landscapes using collages that are neither figurative nor abstract. Hayati arranges different colorful pieces of fabric that are covered in plant motifs together to create his landscape without having a sketch beforehand. A landscape made of natural and manmade shapes intertwined in a way that it is neither possible nor desired to pull them apart.
