Bio

Haeri was born and raised in Tehran. Her dedication to art began when she was a little girl making toys out of broken objects and spending time with her paintings and books. Nevertheless, she graduated in engineering at the university, she was gathering knowledge in art, esthetics, and art history while working as an engineer. She took the benefit of the guidance and thoughts of two great Iranian artists, Minoo Emami and Hossein Maher. After she had her first solo exhibition in Tehran, she quit her job and career to be a full-time visual artist; That was a hard decision to make but a dream realized. Shortly thereafter she won an art residency in Spain and spent 6 months as a resident artist there. after that, she had two group exhibitions in Madrid and Leon. She began to focus on painting and drawing animals for a while and then the Normophobia series is formed. Then she found herself was drawn to the art history of the middle ages and old paintings of Iran and that’s how she began to incorporate her occidental art education with oriental motifs and atmosphere. So the Demons series began. Recently she is studying the art history of Iran.
