Born in Malta, Janet Rady is a veteran gallerist, curator and art advisor based in London and the United Arab Emirates with a multidimensional knowledge of financial, legal, and historical aspects. She has been active within different sections of the International Art Market for the past thirty years, including auction houses such as Sotheby’s and galleries like Lisson Gallery, where she was the manager. With an MA in Islamic Art and Archaeology from the University of Melbourne, Janet Rady is a specialist in Middle Eastern contemporary art who first visited the region in 1974 as an exchange high school student in Tehran and later returned to live in Iran from 1983 to 84. She is the director of Janet Rady Fine Art, a gallery focusing on Contemporary Arab, Iranian, and other international artists. She is also a member of the Arab British Chamber of Commerce and the Council of the Iran Society, and a nominator for the V&A Jameel Prize.
