EXPO CHICAGO

We are pleased to announce that SARAI Gallery will be participating for the second time at EXPO CHICAGO. The curated presentation, titled "Once We Are All Gone," features captivating works by established and emerging Iranian artists, selected by Payam Khalili. The collection includes pieces from Ali Zakeri (b. 1959), Abbas Nasle Shamloo (b. 1983), Parham Peyvandi (b. 1989), Sam Nikmaram (b. 1991), and Sadaf Seyed (b. 1996).
The exhibition encompasses a diverse array of paintings, works on paper, and sculptures of varying dimensions. Predominantly created between the years 2020 and 2023, each piece offers a unique perspective on the artist's vision and delves into the intricate interplay between the human interiority and the external world.
Stripped bare of the boxing arena's distractions, Zakeri's works confront viewers with the raw brutality within the ring, a stark symbol of humanity's inherent fight for survival.
The landscapes of Abbas Nasle Shamloo, rendered with an evocative atmosphere, depict abandoned structures and vessels amidst nature, thereby evoking a profound sense of solitude and seclusion.
Peyvandi's paintings present a distinctive portrayal of both urban and natural landscapes, effectively capturing the intricate relationship that exists between them.
Nikmaram's sculptures, crafted from recycled materials, depict fantastical creatures. These works embody his environmentally conscious artistic approach.
Seyed's abstract interpretations of internal architectural elements unfold within a dimly lit, geometrical universe illuminated only by slender beams of light.
EXPO CHICAGO 2024 will be held from April 11th to 14th at Navy Pier, Chicago, Illinois.
