Upon viewing this series by Ali Zakeri as a whole, a fundamental question arises in the mind of the audience: is this a series in praise of boxing as a ruthless sport and a direct confrontation between two figures, or does it condemn this sport? Zakeri pointed out in an interview: "in the beginning of the series, ten years ago, I felt great hatred towards it but over time through figurative studies and countless sketches I discovered a psychotherapeutic approach in it; since I gradually began to realize this sport is more dignified than it may appear to be for reasons such as the clear rules, the skills of athletes, the observance of ethical behavior and direct confrontation with violence."
Zakeri's words echo those of renowned Franco-Algerian writer, Albert Camus, who said in his final years : "After all these years during which I have seen a lot of things, today I say with full confidence that what I know of human morals is indebted to sport." and this is the moral and fundamental point of this collective which recurs throughout the works like a semantic motif.
