Naturally, a system based on hegemony and control over bodies has its cracks. No ideology can exert total control over lives. In this painting, Moslem Khezri has depicted these cracks within the system but not necessarily by painting exaggerated gestures. He has recorded transient moments when the bodies find themselves on a borderline between control and freedom of movement. Some are sitting in the shadows, yet it seems as though a light beam entering the class from outside has brought the intensity of life into the enclosed classroom. As if some students have turned into those rays of sunshine that cannot stay still and tend to move around.
