SARADIPOUR Art Gallery (SARAI) is pleased to present Khor 2021 Artists Exhibition II, a group show by Azadeh Sefidgaran (1980), Hamdi Jafari Shakib (1979), Hanieh Soltani (1992), Homayoun Hayati (1985), Mahtab Khodadadi (1998), Maryam Yahaghi (1979), Marzieh Bagheri (1985), Nevisa Sayyadian (2000), Raya Bakhtiari (1987), Sahar Nahavandi Nejad (1981), Shila Jalili Piran (1991), Shilan Ebrahimi (1984), and Shima Faridani (1982). This is the second and final part of physical group exhibitions presenting a selection of Khor Art Initiative 2021's top artists at SARADIPOUR Art permanent gallery space in Mahshahr. Khor 2021 Artists Exhibition II opens to the public on November 26, and it will continue until December 9, 2021. The second edition of Khor Art Initiative - an independent art prize defined to discover and support local talents - was reviewed by a jury panel of highly established art writers, curators, artists, and auctioneers in Middle Eastern and world contemporary art including, Roxane Zand, Max Presneill, Murtaza Vali, Anna Wallace-Thompson, Lila Nazemian, and Lee Ann Biddle. The group of featured artists indeed reflects the demography of entrants during this year's open call: a young and female majority of dedicated, talented, and ambitious artists who have been shaping the Iranian art scene in recent years. The present exhibition consists of a large body of drawings and paintings that include works created with less conventional media including threads, colorful fabrics, mirrors, rust paint, and metal. Summer 2020 saw the first "Khor Art Initiative" organized by SARADIPOUR Art Gallery: a supportive and competitive nationwide event in a bid to revitalize the Iranian visual arts scene amid the COVID19 pandemic.
